Groups and Programs for Adults

United Methodist Women

The organized unit of the UNITED METHODIST WOMEN shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Membership in Red Bank UMW is open to all women of the congregation. Meetings of the full membership take place the 1st Thursday of the months chosen. Most meeting are held at 12:30 p.m., but some evening meetings are scheduled. In addition to UMW business, speakers or other programs are included at these General Meetings.

Fellowship Circles are small groups of members which often meet monthly. Each group plans its own program which may include the use of UMW study books. The groups also take turns hosting the General Meetings by providing devotions, desserts and beverages. There are currently two Fellowship Circles:

Woman of the Year honors a member who has made significant contributions to our local UMW unit.
