Club 77 Youth Group for our 6th through 8th graders
Club 77 Youth Group for our 6th through 8th graders. Our name come from Matthew 18: 21,22. In it, Jesus tells his disciples we should forgive 70 time 7 times, which we know means “Always”.
The transitions our kids go through in Middle school can be tough, mistakes are made. It’s important for our kids to learn to forgive themselves and others as they grow and mature. The Club 77 Youth Group is a place where everyone is accepted as they are, where the kids can feel safe to be themselves and express themselves.
Club 77 Youth Group does many service projects for our church and community. Some are: supporting the Red Bank CROP Walk every year by creating a banner, raising money and walking in the walk, visiting the senior citizens at Wesleyan Arms twice a year with the Mustard Seeds to spread some cheer, and helping the Backpack Crew whenever they need a hand. We also shop for Thanksgiving dinners to donate and create our Angel Tree which helps families in need at Christmas. In April we work on an environmental project to display at the Church’s Greenfaith Fair to celebrate Earth Day.
It’s not all service projects in our Club 77 Youth Group! We have nights of fun and games, and nights where we discuss our faith. We always encourage fellowship and building friendships. We have an open invitation to all Middle Schoolers, come join us on Wednesday nights!
